During festivals, people visit each other with gifts to strengthen various relationships (family, friendship, love, etc.). For manufacturers, this is an opportunity and a node for huge sales. Most manufacturers choose to hold ordering meetings to achieve node sales explosion by seizing terminal resources. How to successfully hold an ordering meeting?

  1. Clarify the purpose of the ordering meeting; not all markets can hold one, depending on the maturity of market operations. When the market is just starting, focus on appreciation meetings with ordering as a supplement; in growth and maturity stages, ordering can be the main focus.
  2. Before the ordering meeting, ensure terminal inventory is "cleaned out" so terminals are willing to take new stock.
  3. Do not hold ordering meetings in markets where sales are not smooth; otherwise, it will either be a cold scene or become a pure eating and drinking event.
  4. The promotion intensity of the ordering meeting must be aligned with the overall annual plan; do not focus on the front and ignore the back.
  5. The timing of the ordering meeting must be based on market competition and competitor dynamics; being first gives you the lead.
  6. It is best not to give away easily liquidated products as gifts; if unavoidable, collect a price/logistics deposit or extend the time period; otherwise, cross-region dumping will be rampant later.
  7. Before the ordering meeting, make sufficient budget and target achievement plans.
  8. Hold a pre-meeting mobilization, policy briefing, target breakdown, and reward/punishment measures. Conduct practical drills for each person to thoroughly understand the policy (especially at the grassroots level).
  9. It is best to complete all order deliveries before the meeting is held.
  10. Before ordering, chase performance daily and send battle reports until the ordering meeting ends.
  11. Three parts promotion, seven parts publicity; use various channels and methods to promote to target customers.
  12. Provide seamless customer briefings and form a battle group.
  13. For the materials needed at the meeting site (generally, background boards, name cards, product roll-up banners, signposts, work badges, sign-in background wall, sign-in desk cards, raffle tickets, raffle box, banners and water signs, product displays, medals, corporate promotional videos), execution processes, large enterprises usually have fixed templates that can be directly used; small enterprises need to consider more.
  14. To liven up the atmosphere: first, the quality and interactivity of the performance programs; second, whether the promotional activities are creative; raffles, auctions, red envelope games, etc., can bring the atmosphere to a climax.
  15. Do not cheat in the raffle; if the one with the most orders wins, everyone can see it. Instead, set up several ranking incentives. The gift settings must balance the interests of large and small customers.
  16. Focus on the big and let go of the small: once the event starts, first secure the big customers; with big customers in hand, you won't panic.
  17. The on-site food and drink should be upscale; all arrangements of the meeting are a form of publicity.
  18. Have contingency plans for all possible events.
  19. On the meeting day, have clear division of labor and strict discipline. A successful ordering meeting tests whether the market is solid and whether the team's execution is efficient. Ordering meetings have been held for many years; how to innovate is a topic worth exploring. Turning a pure ordering meeting into an opportunity for peer exchange, learning, and sharing, where every participant gains something, is worth deep thought for every practitioner.
