On July 12, 2023, Meituan Flash Shopping, Kimberly-Clark, and Happygo Digital successfully held the kickoff meeting for the Shining Stores project in Shanghai. Attendees included Ryan, Senior Client Business Director of Kimberly-Clark's Commercial and Category Strategy; Tim, Brand Lead at Meituan Flash Shopping; Timon, Brand Development Lead at Meituan Flash Shopping; Baopu, Chief Product Architect at Happygo Digital; and Daoxuan, Digital Business Strategy Director at Happygo Digital. Ryan delivered the opening remarks on behalf of Kimberly-Clark, stating that the Shining Stores project will become a milestone starting point, and that the company will explore operational efficiency improvements in instant retail with Meituan through multi-strategy departmental collaboration. Subsequently, Tim introduced Meituan Flash Shopping's future strategic positioning, emphasizing, "Meituan Flash Shopping will be more open in data sharing, interact closely with brands, and use data empowerment to bring more marketing imagination space for brands." Regarding the significance of this collaboration, Timon noted that as the first stop for the Shining Stores project, Kimberly-Clark's best practices will represent the industry's vision for the future, and that data will truly translate into contributions to brand business. At the project execution level, Chris, Meituan Flash Shopping's Brand Lead for Kimberly-Clark, elaborated on the supply design for Shining Stores based on the instant retail brand growth model. He stressed, "Meituan Flash Shopping, service providers, brand headquarters' O2O teams, and brand regional sales will collaborate across multiple parties to close the loop on supply optimization strategy implementation." Kairui, Delivery Director at Happygo Digital, introduced the usage workflow of the Shining Stores product tools, which use personalized store-level data displays to precisely locate supply issues to specific stores, products, and execution personnel. Additionally, the product offers a lightweight mini-program for distributing distribution tasks, combined with fine-grained drill-downs of multi-dimensional metrics, to help Kimberly-Clark improve distribution execution efficiency and optimize supply from "non-existent to existing" and "existing to excellent." In recent years, the instant retail market has grown rapidly overall. The China Chain Store & Franchise Association's "2022 China Instant Retail Development Report" indicates that the market size growth rate for instant retail has reached 81% over the past five years. It is projected that by 2025, the open platform model of instant retail will reach a scale of approximately 1.2 trillion yuan. In 2023, instant retail has officially entered the 3.0 era of refined operations, with supply digitization becoming a new growth anchor for retail brand business. The accuracy and timeliness of product supply data have long been a common pain point for many brands, and they are also the key foundation for filling supply gaps, driving distribution execution, and building a brand-wide data platform. To address the pain points of supply digitization, Meituan has taken the lead by opening API interfaces and coordinating with Kimberly-Clark and service provider Happygo Digital to advance the "Shining Stores" project, using productized tools to help brands identify online business issues, push precise supply data at high frequency, locate high-demand stores, and improve distribution efficiency and product information quality. Through the Shining Stores project, Kimberly-Clark can set core product supply goals based on the channel characteristics and regional performance of different NKAs and LKAs, and match supply targets by region, channel, store, and product, optimizing online supply metrics such as supply completion rate and number of stocked stores. At the same time, the mini-program allows managers to quickly identify supply issues, enables field sales representatives to receive distribution tasks online, and implements an online, automated, and trackable business loop. As the data product service provider for this project, Happygo Digital has been committed to delivering and operating omni-channel digital solutions for the brand retail industry, with six years of deep experience in the instant retail sector, accumulating mature data product capabilities and digital operation expertise, and has served over 100 leading brand clients in the FMCG and pharmaceutical industries. In terms of strategic implementation for refined instant retail operations, Kimberly-Clark and Happygo Digital have also established deep cooperation, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the project. In the next phase, the three parties plan to integrate the brand's own SFA (Sales Force Automation) system, enabling one-stop distribution of in-store tasks to further enhance distribution work efficiency and digital system automation. In the future, the three parties will continue to integrate their respective strengths, combining forces to use "Shining Stores" as an anchor to co-create a shining benchmark in instant retail.
