Plant in operation for 4-5 years, advanced equipment and high efficiency It is understood that the JDB Qingyuan plant was completed in 2013 and began production in April 2014, as part of the strategy to expand herbal tea production in Guangdong. At the start of production, the plant had an annual capacity of nearly 150,000 tons, causing a stir in the industry. Luo Jinrui, General Manager of Qingyuan JDB Beverage Co., Ltd. and Plant Manager, told reporters that the plant covers a total area of 380 mu (about 25.3 hectares), with a factory building of 40,000 square meters. It currently employs 150 people, with ongoing recruitment. It is also understood that JDB has another production base in Dongguan's Chang'an Town, Guangdong. Established in 1998, it was JDB's first production base. To meet the needs of national and overseas market expansion, JDB subsequently established new production bases in Zhejiang, Fujian, Beijing, Hubei, Zhejiang, Guangdong, and other places. Luo Jinrui said that the production workshop currently fills an average of 1,200 cans per minute and operates 24 hours a day; the packing line can handle 60 cases per minute, running 23 hours a day with 1 hour for maintenance and sanitation, resulting in a daily output of 60,000 standard cases. The transportation lines at the Qingyuan plant are also busy, with forklifts shuttling between warehouses. Luo Jinrui stated that the investment scale, advanced equipment, and newly introduced fully automated production lines at the Qingyuan plant are at the forefront of the industry, not only enhancing its own strength but also promoting the development of China's herbal tea industry. Luo Jinrui also mentioned that the plant is currently recruiting, and output is expected to increase further. Reporters learned that JDB plants in Beijing, Wuhan, Sichuan, Hangzhou, and Qingyuan are currently operating at full capacity 24 hours a day, with large recruitment posters posted at each plant entrance, ensuring sufficient product supply for the Spring Festival while recruiting staff. Full-line 24-hour production, preparing for the Spring Festival sales peak During a visit to the workshop, a worker told reporters: "Demand is high at year-end, and shipping tasks are heavy. Even working 8 hours a day isn't enough; overtime is arranged as needed." During lunch break, reporters asked workers about their usual work conditions. Most said they were busy recently, with everyone working at full capacity to prepare for the sales peak. "Raw materials are sufficient, orders are sufficient, production and sales are booming, and employees are highly motivated, working overtime and in two shifts. We produce 60,000 standard cases a day, and this has been going on for over a month," Luo Jinrui said. Since October, JDB has started stocking and shipping for the Spring Festival peak season. To meet market demand, the entire line will operate 24 hours a day from October to January. Facing the Spring Festival sales peak, the JDB Qingyuan plant has a specific work plan: First, ensure smooth supply of raw materials, with provisions prepared in advance. Second, ensure sufficient can supply and capital to meet Spring Festival demand. Third, ensure full-line, all-day production, with good equipment condition and high shipping efficiency, including high worker morale, working overtime to complete tasks. Luo Jinrui said that the Qingyuan plant mainly supplies the South China region and parts of Hunan, and he and his employees will actively respond to the traditional Spring Festival peak season battle.
