On July 2, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) issued the revised draft of the Regulations on Administrative Penalties for Price Violations for public comment. The draft proposes warnings and fines ranging from 0.1% to 0.5% of the previous year's total sales for new-type price violations such as 'big data price discrimination' and 'low-price dumping', with confiscation of illegal gains, and in severe cases, suspension of business or revocation of business licenses.
