On June 23, Zhao Bo, chief editor of this public account, interviewed Bang Xiaodian and had in-depth exchanges with its deputy general managers Xia Hongbo and Liu Li on the development model of FMCG B2B platforms. After visiting several mainstream FMCG B2B platforms in China, Zhao Bo believes that Bang Xiaodian has obvious advantages in three aspects: embedding supply chain finance, integrating distributor resources, and unified warehousing and distribution.

Bang Xiaodian is a platform that not only allows purchasing FMCG products but also helps manufacturers operate their products, without disrupting the existing distributor landscape, and is built in alliance with distributors.

In terms of operational services, Bang Xiaodian can help manufacturers with brand promotion, product distribution, outlet expansion, promotion execution, new product launches, and ordering meetings. Taking product distribution as an example, the Bang Xiaodian platform can use online-offline integrated promotion to help suppliers expand their products to 2,000 small stores within one month.

Xia Hongbo also introduced that Bang Xiaodian has brought in a financial institution in Wuhan as a strategic partner, conducting in-depth cooperation in areas such as financial support for small store owners based on transaction data and supply chain finance.

In terms of warehousing and logistics, Bang Xiaodian has established a 70,000-square-meter warehouse, which is rented to suppliers for free. Bang Xiaodian centralizes sorting, and then integrates its own vehicles with suppliers' vehicles for unified distribution.

To summarize the Bang Xiaodian model: pure online matching, integrating distributors to invest in the platform, conducting transactions online, and providing unified warehousing and distribution through Bang Xiaodian, thereby completing the distributors' Internet+ transformation.

Bang Xiaodian is currently developing rapidly. Within six months of its launch, the platform has 12,000 small store users, increasing at a rate of 150 per day. Daily transaction volume has exceeded 2 million yuan, with over 700 daily active orders, an average order value of over 2,000 yuan, and more than 6,000 SKUs.

Three Major Highlights

First, the embedding of supply chain finance quickly brings small stores online. Supply chain finance is something many FMCG B2B platforms want to do but haven't. Bang Xiaodian's exploration is encouraging. Many matching platforms cannot solve the problem of bringing existing small store orders online, but Bang Xiaodian places financial functions upfront, injecting supply chain finance into small stores and using bank credit to solve the problem of small stores not ordering online.

Second, integrating distributor resources, not making enemies of distributors. Bang Xiaodian has integrated most of the major distributors in Wuhan onto the platform, allowing distributors to save costs and increase efficiency, and letting them participate in platform equity. It embraces distributors, does not make enemies of them, and shares development benefits with them.

Third, unified warehousing and distribution to reduce logistics costs. The integration techniques and methods are exactly the same as Yishang: build warehouses, have distributors move in, let distributor drivers contract vehicles, and give unified distribution for orders, using bus-style logistics to significantly reduce logistics costs.

Many platforms are doing these three highlights, especially the second and third, but currently only Bang Xiaodian in China combines all three into one B-end platform. Through its model innovation, it quickly helps distributors transform without changing the pattern of distributor interests, which is a good choice for distributors.

In early July, this platform will organize the third B-end e-commerce inspection class to inspect B-end e-commerce platforms that have reference significance for distributor transformation. Interested friends can long-press the QR code below to register.
