After 30 Years of Competing with P&G in China, Unilever Chooses Guangzhou
Unilever has officially established its largest full-category production base in China in Conghua, Guangzhou, with an investment of 1.6 billion yuan. The project will be built in phases, with a personal care factory completed by 2023, and food and ice cream factories by 2024 and 2025 respectively. Once fully operational, it is expected to generate an annual output value of about 10 billion yuan. The base will also be Unilever's first 'carbon neutral' production site and a world-class 'lighthouse factory'.
