Walmart 'Lost' in China

On June 18, while people were immersed in e-commerce promotions, Walmart closed two stores in Hangzhou and Ningbo, marking at least the 14th hypermarket closure in China in the first half of the year. The closures are attributed to expiring leases and declining profits amid e-commerce competition.
