Former Chairman of Guanshengyuan, Weng Mao, Dies Unexpectedly: How to Prove It Was Caused by a Monkey?
On April 19, a tourist from Shanghai was fatally struck by a stone in Yuntai Mountain scenic area in Henan. The tourist was later confirmed to be Weng Mao, former chairman and general manager of Guanshengyuan (Group) Co., Ltd. On the morning of April 22, a reporter from China Business News contacted Pan Jianjun, head of the publicity department of Bright Food Group, Guanshengyuan's parent company. Pan confirmed that Weng Mao had indeed been a senior executive of Guanshengyuan but had retired many years ago. Regarding the online reports of his accidental death in Henan, Pan said the group had confirmed the news after receiving it, and that Weng Mao's accidental death was true.
