In the workplace, many people always feel that their salary is too low, complain that the boss is too stingy, and think they give more and get less. In fact, the boss is not the one who decides your salary! Instead, he is the one who reasonably distributes your income! Why is your income distributed by the boss? Because the boss pays 16 hours a day! Senior management pays 12 hours a day! Middle management pays 10 hours a day! Grassroots staff pays 8 hours a day! There is no humble job in this world, only a humble attitude. Instead of complaining, it is better to bury yourself in work and put all the time and energy spent on complaining into improving your core competitiveness and doing your work perfectly. Be a practitioner who does not complain. Below are the workplace stories of two of my friends:

  1. Lao Wu is a brother I met a few years ago. He is almost 40 years old and currently works as an editor at a company. The so-called editor is a job that anyone can do, sorting out manuscripts. He does the same repetitive work day after day, and has been doing it for 5 years. His salary increases very little each year. I was curious and asked him: Have you ever thought about changing jobs? He said to me: "I am old now, and going elsewhere is not as good as staying here." After hearing this, I pondered for a long time: How terrible it is when a person has no competitiveness and is older! They may be eliminated by society! However, Lao Wu seems to be quite satisfied with his current job. He goes to work and gets off work on time every day, and on weekends he can stay at home watching movies, playing games, or sleeping in. He does not socialize, travel, or expose himself to new things, nor does he plan for his future... Over time, Lao Wu will lose the last bit of his workplace competitiveness and become a dispensable person in the workplace forever. If I were the boss and two candidates came for an interview, one like Lao Wu, diligent but doing uncompetitive work every day, and the other a new graduate from the post-90s generation with little work experience, I would definitely choose the latter. Compared with the "old hand" in the workplace, the post-90s kids have lower salaries, can work overtime, and are more flexible. Bosses naturally think this way too.

  2. Qianqian is my close friend from college. She is outgoing and lively. After graduation, her first job was as a planner. Initially, she did not picky about the company, thinking it was enough to learn something. Six months later, she changed jobs to a good advertising company, and her monthly salary doubled. A year later, she changed jobs to a large online video company. Another year later, she was poached by another large enterprise. Now her salary can no longer be called a monthly salary but an annual salary. It has only been 7 years since we graduated, and she has already become the regional director of the North China region, leading a group of newcomers. Sometimes when I chat with Qianqian and express my envy, she says: Her current achievements are all due to her efforts back then. To sum up, it is three words: adapt, break through, and change. As a newcomer to the workplace, once you choose this industry, you must adapt to it wholeheartedly. Qianqian said that at first she did not even know how to make PPT, so she spent weekends learning it over and over again until she mastered it. When she first started as a planner, she knew nothing. So after work, she would spend time in coffee shops surfing the Internet, looking at successful planning cases made by others, analyzing where the success lay, and learning from others' success. From then on, she was able to complete some planning proposals on her own. Qianqian said that everyone wants to handle big accounts and brand planning, but as a newcomer who had just joined the company, the leader was not assured to give her big projects. So she followed the company's sales staff to make proposals and attend large presentations. Finally, she had the opportunity to give a presentation herself, but she was still very nervous. To overcome her nervousness, she explained her topic to the taxi driver in the taxi. Later, when she gave the speech on stage, she was not nervous at all. From then on, she began to handle large planning proposals. At this time, another large online media company extended an olive branch to her. Because the platform was different, many things needed to be changed. She overcame difficulties one after another and finally became the director of the North China region. She said she is a simple person at heart. When doing planning, she does not think about success or failure, praise or criticism. If you are gold, you will eventually wait for the day of success. In the workplace, if you do not take the first step, you will never wait for the ideal job. Many friends who have just graduated wait for their families to arrange jobs for them. Maybe they do not like that job. Can they do a job they do not like well? Everything starts from zero. The key is what you accumulate in the process: like my friend Qianqian, she accumulated rich workplace experience, so she could get high salaries in each job change. In fact, having no money, no experience, no life experience, or no social connections is not terrible. No money can be earned through hard work; no experience can be summarized through practice; no life experience can be accumulated step by step; no social connections can be woven little by little. However, having no dreams and no ideas is the most terrible thing, which makes people feel afraid and want to escape! There is a famous saying in Homer's epic "Odyssey": "Nothing is more unbearable than wandering aimlessly." If you spend every day in a daze, not knowing what you are doing or what you are pursuing, then what is the meaning of work? In the workplace, whether you are a rookie or an "old hand," you should work with a good attitude, because attitude determines the extent of growth. If you hold the attitude of "I only get this salary, why should I do so much work," you will lose the great opportunity to exercise and grow, and of course, you will gradually lose your workplace competitiveness. Perhaps one day, your job will really be replaced by robots! (Currently, Dongguan's first unmanned factory has been born in Chang'an Town, Dongguan.) So do not complain about your low salary or too much work. The boss will not give you an extra penny because of your complaints. What you can do is improve your workplace competitiveness. So no matter when or what the treatment is, you must first prove your value, and then everything will come! - END- The best learning platform for FMCG distributors in China Focusing on providing professional, practical, and applicable tutorials for enterprises and distributors Committed to helping Chinese FMCG distributors grow rapidly The most professional and practical knowledge base in the FMCG industry Reply with the red number below to get the corresponding content Reply with number 1 to view the complete knowledge base | 001 Excellent article selection | 002 Distributor market operation | 003 Terminal visit management | 004 Sales supervisor skills | 005 Sales improvement skills | 006 Channel expansion | 007 Managing distributors | 008 Distributor development | 009 Distributor internal operation management | 010 Team management | 011 Efficient distribution skills | 012 Sales manager's eighteen skills | 013 KA operation methods and strategies | 014 The first lesson for new sales | 015 Internet, brand | 016 Distributor B2B transformation | [Long press QR code to follow]
