Jack followed his friend's advice, changed his previous lazy habits, and began to work seriously. Even after work, he often stayed late in the office to study business writing.
A year later, that friend happened to meet him and asked, "Now you've probably learned everything, ready to slam the table and quit?" Jack said, "But I've found that in the past six months, the boss has looked at me with new respect. Recently, he's entrusted me with important tasks, promoted me, and given me a raise. Honestly, not just the boss, but everyone in the company now respects and admires me!"
