Recently, a friend told me that he has a very good client whose office has been relocated and decorated magnificently, but the bookshelf behind is empty, so he wanted to buy some books as a gift and asked for my suggestions.

His idea is excellent. The most effective way to help clients grow is to enrich their minds, change their way of thinking, and lead them to break through their own bottlenecks. However, I wonder how many distributors can calm down and read books. Still, I sincerely recommended a few books to him, and I also list the book list I recommended to my friend below, hoping that conscientious distributor friends can benefit from it.

Recommendation 1: Learn from the People's Liberation Army (Purpose: Solve the problem of team building for distributors) Team building has always been a confusing issue for distributors. How to build an efficient marketing team has always been one of the important issues that distributors strive to solve. "Learn from the People's Liberation Army" exactly meets this need of distributors. It incisively demonstrates the management wisdom of high-performance organizations and teaches everyone how to complete team building and efficiency improvement through "establishment of organizational mission, system construction, talent cultivation, and independent reform," and achieve collective progress through continuous system improvement and self-reform.

The most important issue is that "Learn from the People's Liberation Army" solves the problem of forging individuals of different levels, ranks, cultural backgrounds, and qualities into a cohesive team that can accomplish common goals and aspirations, which is consistent with the path of team building for distributors. Since most distributors have a low starting point and small scale, it is difficult to recruit high-quality talents. How to turn individuals with low quality and uneven team composition into an efficient marketing team is a problem that distributors must face. "Learn from the People's Liberation Army" focuses on how the PLA organization turns members with different cultural levels, lifestyles, and family backgrounds into an efficient organization with combat effectiveness, cohesion, and striving spirit, providing help for distributors' team building.

Recommendation 2: "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" (Purpose: Solve the problem of self-management and improvement for distributors) Many distributors started from scratch and developed the habit of doing everything themselves, which effectively promoted the growth and development of their companies. However, with the growth and development of the company, distributors increasingly feel their energy is insufficient and encounter management bottlenecks, thinking they have the will but not the strength. If we dig deeper into the problems faced by distributors, we will find that the root cause is the bottleneck of "self-development." The original management methods and work styles are no longer competent for the management of a grown enterprise. The enterprise has grown, but personal management literacy has not improved accordingly. "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" precisely solves the problem of self-management and improvement for distributors.

"The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" comprehensively introduces the path of self-shaping for high-performance individuals to "achieve comprehensive self-creation from the inside out" from three major aspects: "personal success" (be proactive, begin with the end in mind, put first things first), "public success" (think win-win, seek first to understand then to be understood, synergize), and "renewal" (sharpen the saw) covering seven specific habits.

Stephen R. Covey holds an MBA from Harvard University and a doctorate from Brigham Young University. He is renowned in leadership theory, family and interpersonal relationships, and personal management. What the author excels in is exactly what developing distributors truly need. "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" is the essence of the author's leadership and personal management thoughts.

This book comprehensively proposes solutions for building high-performance individuals and teams from aspects such as work attitude, time management, behavior and methods. It not only provides solutions for distributors' self-improvement but also for building excellent teams.

Recommendation 3: "Wild Growth" (Purpose: Solve problems and answer questions for distributors in their growth) The author of "Wild Growth," Feng Lun, is known as the "thinker of the real estate industry." Having navigated the business world for 20 years, he has personally witnessed the process of private enterprises from nothing to something, from small to large. The book offers unique insights and reflections on the so-called "original sin" of private enterprises, partnership systems, management logic, and survival and death.

His close contact with successful entrepreneurs (Wang Shi) and failed ones (Mu Qizhong) provides vivid sketches for interpreting "Why did Wang Shi succeed? Why did Mu Qizhong fail?" It deeply interprets the cornerstone and qualities of business success, analyzes the traps and risks that lead to corporate collapse. All of this provides experience summaries for distributors' success and serves as a warning for the risks faced in enterprise development.

In addition, as a thinker, entrepreneur Feng Lun also interprets "happiness, money, greatness, women..." from the perspective of a successful entrepreneur. The language is spicy, profound, and typical of Feng's personality, making readers feel no preaching but genuinely absorbing knowledge about business and life.

The commonality of enterprises growing from small to large, and the sour, spicy, bitter, and sweet life experiences of doing business, all reflect the individual growth journey of distributors. Regardless of enterprise size, business performance, or success, distributors can find their own shadow in Feng Lun's writing, find the direction forward and the signposts for growth. This book will make many distributor friends unable to put it down. One day I found such a book on my boss's bookshelf, and many places in the book were marked with black lines by him.

Recommendation 4: "McKinsey's Excellent Work Methods" (Purpose: Provide methodology for distributors' development and management) This book now has multiple versions. When I read it, it was the 2004 edition published by "China Machine Press." Now I estimate you can buy the 2010 edition of "McKinsey Work Methods" published by China Machine Press. Of course, you can also buy the author's other two consulting technique books, "McKinsey Mind" and "McKinsey Tools."

I have always believed in "doing the right things in the right way," which benefits from reading this book. This book is concise and philosophical. As the recommender says, it is "a small book in form, a big book in content." It presents the best work methods of the best companies to everyone. It not only provides methodology for distributors' self-management and enterprise management but also serves as a training manual for high-efficiency employees. It is an efficiency-enhancing reading that promotes the development of distributors and employee groups, and also a reference book guiding enterprise and team development.

The book provides guidance for distributors and their enterprise development from aspects such as methodology, time management, and vision management. It is one of the most beneficial readings for my career development.

Recommendation 5: "The Daily Drucker" (Purpose: Help distributors quickly master management knowledge) Peter Drucker is a titan in the management field and a respected thought master. He wrote 39 books in his lifetime and published more than 30 articles in the Harvard Business Review. He is known as the "father of modern management." Although his writing style is clear and concise, and his interpretation of issues is insightful and easy to understand, it is not easy to read all his management works one by one and extract the essence of his thoughts.

Fortunately, the master, who was over ninety years old, created this "The Daily Drucker" in the last journey of his life, providing us with a golden key to quickly understand Drucker's thoughts. It is not only a review of the essence of Drucker's lifelong writings but also an action manual. As Drucker himself wrote: "The 'Action Point' section at the bottom of each page is the most important part of this book."

As distributors who value practice over theory, they prefer to know how to turn theoretical things into actions. This book is a management masterpiece that turns theory into action, very suitable for distributors to read.

There are definitely more books suitable or even more suitable for distributors to read. But if readers ask me why I recommend these books, it is because among the books I have read, I believe these are the most suitable for distributors. After reading these five books, distributors can achieve comprehensive sublimation and transformation of themselves and their enterprises from aspects such as team building, self-development and breakthrough, enterprise management, and theoretical cultivation.

Another important reason for recommending the above books to distributors is that readers can not only open the book at any time and start reading from any chapter, but also benefit from the lines they can excerpt anywhere.

I hope that distributor friends can truly like the above books and use them as desk reference books for daily management.
