Introduction:
In the Year of the Pig, as a festive and cute zodiac mascot, shops and doorsteps across the streets will be occupied by various pig IP images.
The popularity of Peppa Pig far exceeds the scope of this preschool children's animation. Its IP formed phenomenal communication three times in 2018 and 2019, gaining countless fans of all ages and the pursuit of brand manufacturers. For a time, in various segmented vertical categories, as long as they obtained the Peppa Pig license and pasted a simple pink pattern, products would sell like hotcakes. Early bosses who secured licenses for certain Peppa Pig categories hit the jackpot, watching licensing fees soar from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions! But even with a single-category license fee as high as tens of millions, it was still hard to get, because some mid-tier brands, relying on Peppa Pig's massive traffic, saw sales multiply several times or even more than tenfold, occupying major shelves.
Through this super IP commercialization case, can we discover the underlying patterns and find the next Peppa Pig?
So, let's get to know who Peppa is?
> Guide:
>
> 1. The growth history of Peppa Pig's blockbuster IP licensing
>
> 2. Classic cases of Peppa's commercial licensing
>
> 3. How to obtain Peppa Pig licensing
1. The growth history of Peppa Pig's blockbuster IP licensing
**Peppa's birth:**
Peppa Pig, also known as Pink Piggy Girl (English name: Peppa Pig), is a British preschool TV animation created, directed, and produced by英国人 Astley Baker Davis, namely Mark Baker, Neville Astley, and Phil Davies. It is also the most potential preschool children's brand in recent years.
After its first broadcast on May 31, 2004, by the production company Astley Baker Davies (ABD) and UK E1 Kids, the animation has been broadcast in 180 regions worldwide, with 4 seasons aired so far.
Each episode of "Peppa Pig" is only 5 minutes long and mainly revolves around the life stories of Peppa and her family and friends. In terms of plot design, "Peppa Pig" does not adopt the binary opposition model commonly used in domestic children's animations. The five-minute animation focuses on life details, exploring the surprises of life from a child's perspective.
There are almost no villains in Peppa Pig. The kindness revealed in the plot, the simple and clear macaron colors, the Picasso-style art, dense jokes, and the educational significance conveyed in character interactions made the animation highly popular upon release. Together with works like "Teletubbies," "Shaun the Sheep," and "Peter Rabbit," it became a classic animation that influenced a generation in the UK.
In the eyes of British people, Peppa Pig authentically tells the life philosophy of the British middle class. In recent years, Peppa Pig's impact on the UK consumer market is also evident. Ordinary fruit juice, biscuits, or a small schoolbag, as long as printed with this cute pig image, will not worry about sales. Many British people also like to name their newborns after characters in the show, such as George, Zoe, etc.
**The commercialization path of the super IP:**
Theme park:
In 2011, the UK Peppa Pig theme park opened.
Paultons Family Theme Park in Hampshire, UK, spent £6 million to create the world's first Peppa Pig theme park within its park. With this investment, Paultons Family Theme Park's visitor traffic doubled within a year.
The UK Peppa Pig park faithfully recreates the scenes of the animation, making visitors feel as if they have stepped into the animation, cute and dreamy! The park currently has 9 rides, 1 indoor play area, 1 children's water play area, and some small play areas and dining and retail facilities.
Tickets: One-day pass: a family of four (children over 1 meter) is £87.5; adult tickets are £30 each, seniors over 60 are £27.5, and children under 1 meter are free.
From a positioning perspective, it perfectly matches the animation's audience, focusing on family parent-child trips, with overall costs far lower than large children's theme parks with high-end equipment. Small scale, quick cost recovery.
According to the "2016 China Theme Park Industry Development Status Analysis," from 2015 to 2020, China is expected to add 64 more theme parks, with potential attendance reaching 166 million and total investment reaching $23.8 billion. In addition to the Peppa Pig theme park, Merlin's IP brand Legoland will be located by Dianshan Lake in Shanghai, expected to start construction in 2020 and complete in 2022; Huaqiang Fangte also clearly stated that this year it will build a theme park for the popular Chinese animation "Boonie Bears."
Entering the Chinese market:
The Peppa Pig trademark was submitted in 2013, with nearly all categories registered, and trademark protection is very thorough.
In June 2015, "Peppa Pig" was introduced to China, airing at 7 am on CCTV Children's Channel, with ratings soaring to become the NO.1 children's animation program in the morning slot.
On traditional TV channels, "Peppa Pig" is broadcast on CCTV-Children, Jin Ying Cartoon, and Xuan Dong Cartoon. On online video channels, "Peppa Pig" is available on iQiyi, Mango TV, Youku Tudou, and Er Ge Dian Dian.
Seizing the lead in plush toys:
The basic category for animation IP derivative licensing is plush toys.
In 2015, Zheng Huadong, general manager of Dongguan Huawang Industrial Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawang"), obtained the official license for the then-popular IP image "Peppa Pig," officially becoming the exclusive licensed manufacturer for plush products in China, driving the company's rapid development.
Since Huawang upgraded from OEM to OBM and introduced licensing, its performance has grown significantly in recent years.
Founded in 2002, Dongguan Huawang Industrial Co., Ltd. started from OEM and began developing its own brand products in 2014. After more than ten years of development, its business scope has continuously expanded. But what really took off was the popularity of "Peppa Pig" in China in the past two years. This time, Huawang Industrial bet right!
Globally, in 2016, Peppa Pig brought its parent company retail sales of $1.1 billion (approximately RMB 6.92 billion) worldwide.
Offline pop-up theme parks are prevalent:
In 2017, in cooperation with shopping centers, they were carried out in cities such as Shanghai and Zhengzhou.
In April, the Hubin Road Shopping Center in the Xintiandi business district cooperated with the Peppa Pig exhibition. The event lasted from April to July, nearly 3 months, accumulating loyal fans for this mall targeting family customers.
In August, Shanghai Hongqiao Tiandi spent 2 million yuan in licensing fees to build a Peppa Pig theme park of over 1,000 square meters, with nearly 30 themed scenes on site. In addition to the indoor Peppa Pig themed game area, it also added carnival Ferris wheel, beach park, Peppa Pig's farm, carnival avenue, Miss Rabbit's ice cream cart, and other scenes, faithfully recreating the animation. Both events lasted 2-3 months, leveraging the strong traffic of the Peppa Pig IP to attract visitors to the shopping center.
From December 8, 2017, to March 3, 2018, a Peppa Pig theme exhibition of over 1,000 square meters landed in Zhengzhou, faithfully recreating 10 popular scenes from the show.
From an industry perspective:
A set of data from the Commercial Real Estate Cloud Think Tank shows that in the statistics of the TOP50 IP theme exhibitions most popular with shopping centers, animation IPs and movie IPs accounted for 78%.
At the same time, we must also note that offline theme parks are typical long-cycle incubation projects:
Currently, 70% of existing theme parks in China are in a loss-making state, 20% break even, and only 10% can achieve profitability. Among the theme parks that emerged in the past 10 years, about 80% have closed down, causing economic losses of over 300 billion yuan to the domestic tourism industry.
Domestic IP commercialization licensing enters the fast lane:
In the first half of 2017, Peppa Pig's licensing and merchandise sales revenue in China increased by over 700% year-on-year.
The reason behind this is that Peppa Pig formed cross-dimensional communication, becoming a pop culture symbol, and its brand influence exploded geometrically, greatly promoting the cognitive traffic of licensed products! Forming a complete closed loop of topic - communication - commercialization.
In July 2017, the big V "休闲璐" with over 3 million followers invented the topic "猪猪女孩" (Piggy Girl), which can be considered the beginning of Peppa Pig-related topics on Weibo.
The cartoon image's traits of "cute and naive," "optimistic," "carefree," and "loving food" were quickly accepted by young women, developing empathy.
This also directly led to the fading of the popular "exquisite internet celebrity style" from the aesthetics of the younger generation.
Yizhi Food's IP product matrix:
In September 2017, Dongguan Yizhi Food Co., Ltd. held a new product launch. In the summer of 2016, Yizhi Food obtained the "PAW Patrol" IP license, creating another core IP after "Peppa Pig."
With Peppa Pig and PAW Patrol as the core, three major product camps have been formed, positioned at mid-to-high end, targeting fashionable mothers, insisting on healthy and additive-free, and committed to creating a "Eat Yizhi Together" parent-child culture.
Representative products: Peppa Pig surprise eggs, cranberry cookies, hawthorn biscuits, etc.
Topics about Peppa Pig are continuously recreated and spread:
In October 2017, during the broadcast of the fifth season, marketing accounts continuously hyped topics such as pig squeals and jumping in mud puddles. By the first half of this year, topics like "Peppa Pig is a rich second generation" and "Peppa Pig co-branded with international big brands" were also wildly reposted.
In November 2017, videos about "Peppa Pig" on Bilibili's ghost animal (鬼畜) section exploded, with multiple user-made videos exceeding one million views. The "果子哥哥工作室" (Guozi Gege Studio), which specializes in dialect online videos, posted "Chongqing Version of Peppa Pig" on Bilibili, which has now exceeded 3 million views. After that, netizens made multiple versions in Cantonese, Sichuanese, Northeastern dialect, Cantonese, Xinjiang dialect, Shanghai dialect, Shandong dialect, Chaozhou dialect, Changsha dialect, Fuzhou dialect, Hainan dialect, Henan dialect, Hebei dialect, and more.
At the end of the year, an article titled "How much does it cost to live like Peppa Pig?" suddenly went viral on WeChat Moments. The article inferred from the details of the 156-episode animation that Peppa Pig is actually a rich second generation, as she can take her friends to meet the Queen of England and visit Buckingham Palace. This was the first time the cartoon image was brought into social topics, and this contrast cuteness flooded WeChat Moments.
At the same time, a short video of drawing Peppa Pig on the back triggered the popularity of Peppa Pig on short video platforms like Kuaishou and Douyin.
Originally an animation with simple plots and gentle style made for 3-5 year old children, it was forcibly turned into a social code by a large group of adults.
Then, Kuaishou users used the classic phrase "Peppa Pig tattooed on the body, applause for the social person" to achieve viral communication, helping Peppa take a key step towards the throne of a phenomenon.
Subsequently, netizens discovered that the famous Italian star Gilardino also has a Peppa Pig tattoo on his left arm. With the slogan "Peppa Pig tattooed on the body, applause for the social person" ringing out, Peppa Pig also became a star in adult circles.
Under the guidance of strong topic traffic, Peppa Pig IP licensed products were pushed to a peak:
At the end of 2017, "Peppa Pig" had over 800 official derivatives and copyright licenses, including DVDs, books, movies, toys, stationery, food, clothing, theme parks, stage plays, etc.
Global licensing revenue reached as high as $1.2 billion (approximately RMB 7 billion).
In 2017, total retail sales of licensed merchandise exceeded $298 billion, with Disney ranking first with $54 billion in licensed merchandise retail sales, while eOne also achieved $1.5 billion in merchandise retail revenue through licensing of children's animation IPs such as "Peppa Pig" and "PJ Masks."
In the fourth week of 2018, it surpassed "Naruto" and "One Piece" in Baidu search index, reaching 138,851, which was 3.7 times that of "Naruto" and 1.2 times that of "One Piece" in the same period.
As various pop culture influencers and entertainment stars joined this pop culture communication carnival, Peppa Pig completely crossed the original audience dimension. IP licensed products were no longer limited to children's products, forming a pan-IP trend. Major brands, content platforms, media, and e-commerce platforms began to "ride the traffic," creating topics - promoting products - continuously pushing and oscillating each other!
In March 2018, on a variety show, TFBOYS member Wang Junkai used "Peppa Pig" to describe Du Haitao, causing laughter throughout the audience. Subsequently, Du Haitao posted a photo on Weibo wearing a social person watch, attracting netizens' attention, and the Weibo post had active comments and interactions, forming a peak of attention.
On March 29, 2018, Uniqlo released a Peppa Pig co-branded baby pajamas and promoted it via Weibo topics.
On April 18, the Weibo big account "文物医院" (Cultural Relics Hospital):
A photo of a porcelain cup, paired with the words "珐琅彩山水佩奇游春马蹄杯" (Enamel landscape Peppa Pig spring outing horse hoof cup) and an Ultraman emoji, this Weibo post by the famous historical blogger @文物医院 immediately attracted countless attention. The combination of a popular anime image and traditional Chinese art breaking the dimensional wall immediately sparked topics.
"The vessel shape is complete and flawless, the painting is fine and vivid, the composition is complex and gorgeous, the colors are deep and bright, the shape is regular and sparse, typical of Qing Kangxi enamel cups, especially the character's clothing is bold and avant-garde with iron red coloring, and the character's head is rare with overglaze pink, overall dignified and elegant without losing playfulness, novel theme, it is a very rare official kiln masterpiece of the Qing three dynasties."
"The vessel shape is regular, the glaze is uniform, the painting is free and easy, the bottom foot has no obvious signs of artificial aging, and after expert group identification, it is confirmed as a 2017 street stall boutique. Please light a gem lamp for the blogger."
Many netizens commented seriously. Facing the sudden attention and enthusiasm of netizens, the true owner of this "social cup," Chen Yong, was very surprised. His small attempt during serious creation was originally only posted on WeChat Moments, but unexpectedly became popular after being uploaded to Weibo by others.
Negative voices: On April 26, 2018, People's Daily commented that "many primary and secondary school students use this to be unconventional, some people compare with each other by wearing Peppa Pig clothing, watches, etc., and even worse, a few unscrupulous merchants counterfeit and imitate related products to profit. These factors that are not conducive to the healthy development of the cultural industry need to be vigilant. After all, no matter how social Peppa Pig is, it cannot destroy children's childhood and cannot cross rules and bottom lines."
At the end of April, netizens exposed that Douyin's community rules mentioned banning Peppa Pig. Douyin responded to media on May 2, saying that the "ban" was not true, and Peppa Pig-related content could still be found on Douyin with keywords like "pig" and "Peppa," and the "community ban list" circulating online was not from Douyin officially.
In April, over 20 million users searched for the keyword Peppa Pig on Tmall, with monthly searches reaching nearly 30 million.
On the evening of May 30, 2018, Damai and Letong Culture held a strategic cooperation press conference at Shanghai Lixin Grand Theatre, announcing in-depth strategic cooperation on the Chinese version of the Peppa Pig stage play. The national tour of the Chinese version of the Peppa Pig stage play officially launched.
In the next six months, Damai will bring the Chinese version of the Peppa Pig stage play to 13 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Shenyang, Nanjing, and Hangzhou.
In October 2018, the world's first Peppa Pig indoor theme park under Merlin Entertainment Group opened in Shanghai.
Peppa Pig settled in Shanghai's landmark building - the 88th floor of Jin Mao Tower, "overlooking" the whole of Shanghai from a height of 340.1 meters, announcing her arrival to little fans around the world.
"Peppa Pig World of Play" is located at Shanghai LCM, an indoor family theme park designed for preschool children.
On November 11, 2018, HUGGIES launched Peppa Pig training pants, selling 3.01 million pieces during the pre-sale period, serving 8,400 social person babies for one year. Natural Hall·HUGGIES diaper mask co-branded, sold 60,000 diapers during the pre-sale period.
In November 2018, 360 Children and "Peppa Pig" joined forces to launch the 360 Children's Watch Peppa Pig edition.
In November 2018, "Peppa Pig Celebrates Chinese New Year," co-produced by Alibaba Pictures and Peppa Pig's parent company eOne, was announced to be scheduled for the first day of the Chinese New Year.
In December 2018, Tmall announced IP cooperation with Peppa Pig's parent company Entertainment One (eOne) in London, jointly launching 30 new products including Peppa Pig dolls and Peppa Pig Year of the Pig limited edition golden piggy banks.
In addition, to welcome the Chinese lunar Year of the Pig, Tmall will also bring Peppa Pig to the Peppa Pig Shanghai park, and at Peppa Pig's invitation, Tmall will also star in a 2-minute animation episode. On January 1, 2019, this episode will be broadcast globally on Peppa Pig's official social media and video websites.
Peppa Pig achieved data supremacy in the Chinese market through powerful internet social communication, becoming eOne's fastest-growing market for licensing globally.
In 2018, the weekly average search index for "Peppa Pig" reached 146,809, 8.9 times that of SpongeBob and 27.6 times that of Teletubbies. It is expected that the new season of "Peppa Pig" with 117 episodes will be released in 2019.
On January 17, 2019, the short film "What is Peppa?" flooded WeChat Moments.
After being reposted by Wang Sicong at 23:43 on January 17, it began to ferment rapidly.
Alipay, Taobao, Koubei, etc., all contributed to the spread of the short film "What is Peppa?". According to Li Jie, vice president of Alibaba Pictures and president of Taopiaopiao, Taopiaopiao had the most shares and the highest playback.
At the same time, China Mobile mentioned in the short film also provided a good communication channel, after all, China Mobile has hundreds of millions of users.
This 6-minute short film then spread like a virus to major online media and official WeChat accounts, reaching 30 million views within one day, with a screen influence index of 66.5, becoming the first marketing hotspot of 2019.
The eOne company, to which "Peppa Pig" belongs, rose more than 6.56%, the main producer Alibaba Pictures (01060.HK) rose 1.59%, and the co-producer Happy Blue Ocean (300528) rose 2.41%, showing the charm of "Peppa Pig."
From eOne's 2018 financial report, in fiscal 2018, the company's revenue reached £1.044 billion, and Peppa Pig IP generated retail revenue of up to $1.3 billion (approximately RMB 8.8 billion) in fiscal 2018, contributing revenue of £84.7 million (approximately RMB 740 million), making it eOne's most important cash cow. eOne's report for the first six months of fiscal 2019 (i.e., the six months ended September 30, 2018) showed revenue of £405 million, of which revenue from Peppa Pig reached £41.7 million (approximately RMB 364 million).
By 2020, retail sales are expected to reach $2 billion.
Will such hot social communication overdraw the healthy cycle of an IP?
The birth of "Peppa Pig" is actually anti-standard, anti-industrial individualistic creation.
Peppa Pig's operations director Dumont always frowns when facing the popularity of this work on social networks.
"To be honest, this is not what I wanted. We are not focusing on young people, but on children and parents of preschool children. What we really want to do is continue to create wonderful stories and content for preschool children. It's not that we want this show to be so popular, because children don't care if you are trendy. I hope Peppa can be popular in China for ten or twenty years, like in the UK and the US. Rather than creating a fleeting trend."
2. Review of classic cases where Peppa Pig IP commercial licensing empowers brands
Uniqlo
On March 29, 2018, Uniqlo's official Weibo pinned post stated that Uniqlo would cooperate with Peppa Pig to launch the latest season of children's UT and baby pajamas.
Dongguan Yizhi Food
In early 2015, Dongguan Yizhi Food Co., Ltd. signed the Peppa Pig IP, which was not yet very popular at the time. After experiencing the failed attempt of "the Boonie Bears army almost completely wiped out," Yizhi's marketing director Song Weien said: "Peppa Pig is not the first IP that Yizhi has operated. It is precisely because of the experience and rules of early IP operations that we have the perfect combination of Yizhi and the Peppa Pig IP. When industry leverages IP, in addition to accurate vision and rapid seizing, the business strategy after signing is the key to success."
In early 2016, Yizhi's first battlefield was major supermarkets: RT-Mart, Walmart, China Resources Vanguard, Yonghui Superstores, Carrefour, Auchan, and Century Mart. At that time, the "Peppa Pig" animation had just come to China, and the situation was far less popular than now, so Yizhi's distribution path was bumpy and tortuous, but no matter the cost, Yizhi tackled them one by one, because entering international supermarkets was a key step in building the brand. From March to May 2016, Yizhi Food began to lay out the terminal market, and in July of the same year, sales achieved a 5-fold increase.
With the popularity of the "Peppa Pig" animation, Yizhi products also sold well. Coupled with exquisite displays and promotions, Yizhi's Peppa Pig series products became a hit, and local supermarkets, online merchants, and convenience store systems across the country actively extended olive branches. Currently, supermarket channel product sales account for 60% of total sales. Driven by IP products, the annual output value in 2017 reached 835 million yuan.
Dongguan Leda Food
This Sino-foreign joint venture food distribution company is also the general distributor of Peppa Pig watches in China.
Social person, Douyin same style, internet celebrity watch - these are the unified descriptions used by these merchants for this product. Various topic memes are amusing: "Does wearing this affect my ability to drive a Ferrari?" "Does wearing this affect my ability to drive a Lamborghini?" "Does wearing this affect my studies?" Having a large stock of social person watches has become a hard strength of a store.
Leda's chairman Wu Feng said that due to a chance opportunity, Leda cooperated with influential opinion leaders on platforms like Douyin, asking them to tattoo Peppa Pig on their wrists and take photos to upload. Through planning, the Peppa Pig watch began to combine with the concept of social person, triggering a wave of young people buying, posting photos, and vying to be social persons.
In May 2018, Liangpin Shop obtained authorization from Leda Food (Dongguan) Co., Ltd., becoming a sales channel for Peppa Pig-related products on Tmall.
Now Leda Food's cartoon candy and leisure and children's food products include not only the Peppa Pig series, but also Hello Kitty series, Minions series, Superman and Batman series, etc.
Jintian Animation
In early 2018, Jintian Animation successfully obtained the Peppa Pig IP license for seaweed food, launching four new seaweed series: rock roasted seaweed, thick seaweed, seaweed rolls, and nut seaweed.
Yila Kanshu
It has obtained the first electronic book license for "Peppa Pig." From June 1, users can watch the complete version of the "Peppa Pig" animated book through the Yila Kanshu APP.
Youxiaojun X Haojiayi
In March 2018, Shanghai Youxiaojun Food Co., Ltd. joined forces with Liaocheng Haojiayi Biological Dairy Co., Ltd. to form an IP division, and successfully obtained the Peppa Pig IP with a high licensing fee, officially entering the children's beverage field such as lactic acid bacteria drinks and formulated milk drinks. Due to the strong influence of the Peppa Pig IP, Youxiaojun's Peppa Pig IP products often become one of the series that best captures children's eyes among similar products. Within just half a year, the series established a national distribution network, sales broke 100 million, achieving explosive growth from 0 to 100.
Yingfeng Maternal and Child
On July 19, 2017, the 17th CBME China Maternal and Child Products Exhibition was grandly held in Shanghai, with first-line maternal and child brands from home and abroad gathering. The classic cartoon "Peppa Pig" also officially "settled" in Yingfeng Maternal and Child. The two sides jointly held the "Super IP and Maternal and Child Industry Operation New Ideas and Peppa Pig Licensing Joint Press Conference," cooperating to launch related maternal and infant products, committed to bringing more products that children like and parents can trust to the market.
Duoxiai Home Textiles
Duoxiai Home Textiles chose to bundle with "popular themes," continuously obtaining official licenses for multiple animation IPs, such as the popular classic cartoon images Chibi Maruko-chan and Octonauts. The reporter learned that the brand's autumn and winter series new products launched at the end of 2017 included the world-popular "social person" - Peppa Pig co-branded children's home textiles.
Internet celebrity Answer Tea
During the period from August 27 to September 9, all Answer Tea stores set up exclusive Peppa Pig signs and QR codes on all milk tea waistbands. Scanning the QR code allows free viewing of social person exclusive animated picture books.
The Peppa Pig co-branded version will be the most "social" milk tea waistband in Answer Tea's history, making drinking a cup of milk tea also a social person exclusive.
3. How can companies obtain Peppa Pig licensing?
The cycle of an IP's creation, incubation, content broadcast, and influence growth is very long. Often, the licensing price for a certain category of a hugely popular IP has already risen, and behind the high licensing fees is huge traffic influence. Conversely, it is difficult to predict the future popularity of an IP in the early stages.
How to find the IP that best matches the enterprise at the best time has become the biggest difficulty for brand enterprises.
> **Enterprise decisions should refer to multiple dimensions:**
> 1. The audience match between the IP and the brand's products.
>
> 2. The communication curve across the entire network.
>
> 3. The growth curve of fan activity.
>
> 4. Social communication influence.
>
> 5. The continuity of IP content broadcast, etc.
**Establishing an IP product marketing plan:**
In today's fragmented communication era, in addition to leveraging the attention brought by the IP's own traffic, it is necessary to fully utilize the social communication of WeChat, Weibo, and Douyin. Achieve user fission-style new marketing. And be able to break through the traditional channel distribution model, creating a multi-channel array online and offline.
On March 16, 2019, the largest FMCG + Internet summit in China will be held in Chengdu. At the IP empowerment brand special forum, industry chain experts will gather to discuss how IP can efficiently empower brands.
**Peppa Pig copyright information:**
"Peppa Pig" was born from a British animation production company called "ABD" (Astley Baker Davies). "eOne" (Entertainment One) acquired 70% of "ABD"'s shares in 2015 and obtained 85% of the franchise rights for the "Peppa Pig" brand.
**Copyright agent in mainland China:**
Hong Kong Shan Cheng Group (PPW) is eOne's licensing agent in China, with three branches in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, responsible for the company's brand licensing agency business in the mainland market. The IPs represented include Peppa Pig, Teletubbies, Smurfs, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and other well-known IPs.
**The licensing scope of Peppa Pig in mainland China:**
Home appliances, 3C, automobiles and automotive products, furniture, home furnishings, clothing and accessories, books and DVDs, cultural and educational stationery, office supplies, toys, theme parks and mall activities, hotels.
New Distribution will hold the **2019 (5th) FMCG + Internet Conference** during the Chengdu Spring Sugar Fair from March 16 to March 18. This conference will focus on the topic of **"Breaking the Game"** and conduct in-depth discussions with many brand owners, supply chain service providers, distributors, retailers, etc.
Compared to previous conferences, this summit will be fully upgraded. In addition to the original topics of **channel innovation, city distribution logistics, and distributor transformation**, it will also add multiple parallel forums such as **new marketing cases, IP + FMCG empowerment, community group buying, and innovative retail**. Through three days of ten high-density and high-quality expert sharing and exchanges, it is believed that every brand owner and distributor can learn the latest business models, expert opinions, and practical methods, find new tools and methods for their own breakthrough in 2019, and return to the track of rapid growth.
Review of previous conferences
