New sales representatives often wonder: how can they win business? Below, the author shares some insights based on personal experience and reflections.

**You Are the Expert; the Customer Is the Buyer**
New sales representatives must first learn professional knowledge related to the products they sell. This includes product knowledge such as performance, specifications, features, selling points, advantages, disadvantages, implementation standards, test reports, quality evaluation criteria, and production processes. It also includes specific information about competing products, industry trends, your company's situation, and marketing policies. This is the basic skill for all new sales representatives, so you must train yourself to become a professional. Whether you are new or experienced, consumers will always treat you as an expert. If you are not professional, customers generally will not buy your products. Honestly, if you are not an expert yourself, how can customers feel confident buying from you? Only by making yourself an expert can customers become buyers.

**You Must Be Confident; Customers Will Believe**
New sales representatives must possess confidence. Believe that the product you market is the best for a certain group of consumers, know its advantages clearly, and introduce them to customers with conviction. During the sales process, ignore anything negative about yourself or the product. Believe that nothing in this world is perfect; even the strongest competing products have shortcomings and face consumer doubts and criticism. In marketing, you are on the same starting line as your competitors. Do not be intimidated by competitors or consumers. Believe firmly: "I am the best, and the product I sell is the best!" Leverage your strengths, avoid weaknesses, and use your confidence to answer customer doubts, ultimately winning their trust and purchase. New sales representatives should believe they are engaged in a great and noble cause, and feel proud. It is through the relentless efforts of many sales representatives and managers that social development and human progress are driven. With this confidence and pride, you will more easily earn customer trust and respect.

**You Care About Customers; Customers Will Buy**
New sales representatives should consider customers' interests during the sales process, not just sell for the sake of selling. Always keep customers in mind, practice empathy, and think from their perspective. Not only should you avoid harming customer interests, but you should also provide as many benefits as possible. For example, consider customers' actual needs: what type of product, what functions. Act as a consultant and gatekeeper for customers, and do not force products that do not match their needs. Provide all accessories, gifts, and services that customers should receive, and never withhold or indirectly harm their interests. Even if you do not have a suitable product at the moment, do not rush; explain to the customer and, as soon as you have the product they need, sell it to them promptly. If you care about customers and treat them as friends, they will naturally buy your products.

**You Are Not Afraid of Rejection; Customers Will Admire You**
New sales representatives must remember: true marketing often begins with rejection. Generally, customers have an innate resistance to salespeople, perhaps as a self-protective instinct, just like a girl not dating a stranger. Even customers who genuinely need your product may reject you. At such times, learn to analyze why they reject you: Are they unfamiliar with you? Unfamiliar with your product? Dissatisfied with your product? Or something else? Once you find the reason, you also find the answer to persuade them. Address their specific objections with patience, responsibility, and sincerity. Do not fear "cold shoulders"; with effort, even a cold shoulder can be warmed.

With your professionalism, positive attitude, and enthusiastic service, you will eventually win customers over and turn them into loyal clients.

**You Persist to the End; Customers Will Pay**
New sales representatives should remember: once you choose the path of sales, you must go forward without hesitation. Once you choose to market a product or service, stick with it unwaveringly. Even if the road is fraught with dangers, you must overcome all difficulties and persist until you achieve your goal. For new representatives, working in fits and starts will yield nothing. Only by persisting and making unremitting efforts will you move customers and win business. If you don't believe it, try this: when you visit a potential customer multiple times, often the customer will say, "I'm really sorry to make you run back and forth; I'll just buy one!" That is the fruit of persistence!

**You Respect Customers; Customers Will Accept You**
New sales representatives must learn to respect customers. To put it plainly, at the very least, be polite. Address customers appropriately, in line with their status and customs, so it sounds pleasant and acceptable. For example, "Hello, Mr. Wang!" or "Hello, Auntie!" When visiting customers, consider the occasion. Before an official visit, ask or schedule an appointment, such as "Mr. Wang, I'd like to visit you at 9 AM on the 16th. Do you have time?" or "Brother, could you spare a moment to hear about our company's products?" Only visit or introduce after obtaining permission. During communication, your words and actions must show respect for the customer. Even if the customer may not buy, always respect them. This is a basic quality for new sales representatives and may bring unexpected surprises. Often, the customer you visit may not buy themselves but may refer you to someone who will. So, only by respecting customers will they accept you, and only then can you win business!

**You Are Loyal and Dedicated; Customers Will Be Moved**
New sales representatives must not only be loyal to their profession and act with integrity, but also be loyal to their boss and product. In the sales process, be responsible, trustworthy, and provide good service. Keep promises to customers, and promptly inform them of any changes to gain their understanding and forgiveness. Remember that customers' matters are all important; nothing is trivial. Many things that are easy for a sales representative can move customers deeply. Also, while respecting customer interests, you must also consider the company's interests. Never betray the company's interests; this will actually win customers over because customers have their own scales and know that loyal sales representatives are the most trustworthy. Sometimes, sacrificing your own interests for customers can move them even more. For example, delivering products on time regardless of weather, difficult roads, or early mornings will deeply move customers; they may invite you to dinner or immediately introduce new customers. If you are highly responsible to the product and company, take responsibility for customers, keep promises, and prioritize service, you will surely move customers, and they will actively buy your products.

In summary, there are countless ways to win business; these are just a few of my thoughts. I offer them as a modest spur to induce others to come forward with valuable contributions. Please feel free to share your insights.
