Yan Se, an associate professor at Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, told China News Service's Zhongxin Jingwei that the downward adjustment of economic growth targets by many regions is in line with the requirement for China's economy to shift from high-speed growth to high-quality development, with greater emphasis on improving the quality of development. The downward adjustment of growth rates will not affect the realization of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, but will instead make economic operation more stable.
